This page is only for those transferring email accounts
from a previous host to our servers.

Transfer your Email accounts in 3 Simple Steps!

1. First setup any existing email accounts using the "Administer Email Accounts" link in your Control Panel.

2. Change the Domain Name Servers (DNS) or MX Record as described in your Setup Instructions.

3. As the name servers change, email will arrive at both your old and new provider.
  • To receive mail arriving at both servers, first change your current email software settings (in Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc) so that the "incoming mail server" is the IP number of your old email server (contact them if unsure what this is). You'll continue receiving email sent to your old provider as the transfer completes (usually 24 to 72 hours).
  • Next, to receive email arriving at the new server, create a NEW account in your email software, and use your new IP number from your Setup Email as both the incoming and outgoing (SMTP) server.

You will see email arriving at both the old and new account, until after 72 hours when most mail will be arriving at the new account on our server. It is best to keep checking email on your old account for up to 7 days.

That's it! Enjoy your new services!
