The first step is choosing a Web Host. After that, there are many ways of creating a website. Keep in mind a website is simply a group of pages linked to each other on a server.

Each web page is created either by typing raw HTML code into a text file or by using any number of popular editor tools that do the coding for you, such as FrontPage and DreamWeaver. (both these and many more are supported by OLI )

Publishing a website has also been simplified by software, such as those mentioned above and the new "File Manager" feature available for OLI's Web Hosting customers. These allow you to publish pages from your desktop in seconds with the click of a button. The industry standard method for publishing Web pages is FTP (file transfer protocol). FTP software allows you move pages on your computer to the server so that they become visible World wide on the Internet.
