Storage limits (Quota)

It is critical to monitor your disk space usage in the opening page of the control panel. Disk space is a reflection of how much memory your email, website and database files are using on the server.

To protect all users on the server, if you exceed your quota you will not be able to modify any files or receive any email. This is to protect against mail bombs and server memory overload.

You should regularly check your disk space usage by logging into the
Control Panel. You will see, for example:
Used Disk Space: 61 MB
Total Disk Space: 250 MB

The total disk space is your quota, when your disk space begins to get near the quota you should either remove unneeded files or contact us to upgrade (see below).

If your need more disk space, contact us (from the home page) well in advance. You can add 100 MB for $5 per month or blocks of 250 MB for $10 per month. You can add up to a gigabyte (1000 MB) of total storage space.

Tip: a great way to cut back on disk space is to set your email software to remove messages from the server after you receive (download) them to your computer, this is usually in the advanced settings under tools - accounts. Another great way is to disable your Default Forwarding Address if possible.
